The Summer Vacation Reading Club at the City Library has started, inviting children and young people between the ages of six and 15 to participate in a series of engaging events.

The first meeting, taking place on Tuesday, August 5th, is themed "Bedazzling Books". Participants are encouraged to transform their favourite books into unique pieces using glitter, beads, and other materials provided. Those who don't bring their own book can use an example from the library's flea market collection.

On Tuesday, August 12th, the topic at the club meeting is "Book Rally - Puzzle Fun with Records". The focus is on spectacular world records and a self-programmed digital puzzle game. Those who find all the clues and crack the solution word will prove their combinatorial skill.

On August 19th, club members will design their own cover or movie poster for their favourite story. The following week, on August 26th, the world of comics comes to life as everyone creates a small comic from their favourite book scene, complete with panels, speech bubbles, and lots of imagination.

The meetings continue every Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the City Library on Weiler Street. On September 2nd, the theme is "School of Magical Creatures", where everyone designs their own magical creature friend, which can be drawn, painted, or crafted.

At the September 9th meeting, the summer journals will receive their final touch. Participants can add creative contributions to their journals to earn extra stamps. For more information and registration, visit www.medienportal.our website.

The last club meeting on September 9th will mark the end of an exciting summer filled with reading, creativity, and fun. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your reading experience and unleash your creativity!
