On a typical morning in Essen-Altenessen-South, a shocking incident unfolded on Lierfeldstraße. At around 7:30 AM on May 20th, a 55-year-old driver in a white Mercedes had a medical emergency, causing him to veer into oncoming traffic.
The collision involved three vehicles: a white Mercedes, a gray Skoda, and a blue Opel. The driver of the gray Skoda, a 30-year-old individual, and the driver of the blue Opel, a 46-year-old person, both sustained minor injuries.
Amidst the chaos, an unknown Good Samaritan stepped forward. This individual, approximately 1.70 meters tall, around 40 to 50 years old, was driving a white flatbed truck with yellow warning lights. Wearing shorts and work shoes, they quickly responded to the situation, performing CPR on the 55-year-old driver before the arrival of paramedics.
The police are yet to identify this Good Samaritan, but they are eager to express their gratitude for their quick actions. The intervention of this individual was crucial to the 55-year-old's survival.
