Venerable actor Arthur Brauss passes away at the age of 89

Some of his notable roles included appearances in TV productions like "Großstadtrevier" and "Tatort", as well as films such as Wim Wenders' 1972 film "The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick".
Over the years, Brauss acted alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including Jeanne Moreau and Burt Lancaster in "The Train". His career also included productions like "Der Alte", "Munich Stories", "Polizeiruf 110", "Die Schwarzwaldklinik", "Derrick", "Commissario Laurenti", and "The Train".
In recent years, Brauss had largely withdrawn from television and the public eye. However, his legacy in German entertainment remains undeniable. He appeared in over 100 productions in Germany and abroad.
Brauss's most famous role was as police officer Richard Block in the ARD series "Großstadtrevier". His performances in this series and others like "Tatort" earned him a dedicated fan base.
