Vibrant Cycling Program Welcomes Women from Every Cultural Background
In the charming town of Nordhorn, preparations are underway for a special event as part of the "Stadtradeln" action. On June 13, a "Tour for Women from All Over the World" is scheduled to take place, with further details to be announced soon.
This event is not the first of its kind in Nordhorn. During the Easter holidays, a similar bicycle course was held in the town, attracting twelve participants who were all eager to learn and improve their cycling skills. This year, the course was expertly led by certified cycling instructor Theresia Debeerst-Debevere, a member of the ADFC who follows the "moveo ergo sum" method of the Cycling Instructors' Association.
The course began with light exercises designed to prepare the participants for cycling. By the end, all participants felt confident enough on their bikes to participate in a joint bicycle tour, accompanied by their trainer and the chairman of the Grafschafter ADFC, Burkhard Werner. Together, they successfully covered ten kilometers.
The bicycle courses in Nordhorn have a clear purpose: to promote mobility, overcome fears, encourage healthy exercise, and provide an opportunity to make new contacts. The courses were organised by the Equal Opportunities Office of the City of Nordhorn and SV Vorwärts Nordhorn.
As for the upcoming "Tour for Women from All Over the World", the trainer for the event has yet to be identified in the available search results.
