Wanhua Chemical and ElevenEs join forces for European battery cathode materials: Partnership aims to establish a self-reliant supply chain for battery material production in Europe
Wanhua Chemical, a leading global chemical company, and ElevenEs, a Serbian battery manufacturer, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a strategic partnership in battery materials. This collaboration aims to deliver more competitive LFP battery products to the European market and establish a localized supply chain of battery cathode materials in Europe.
According to Mr. Wang Xiaoxing, General Manager of Wanhua Battery Company, this partnership marks a significant step in Wanhua Chemical's localization of battery material supply chains in Europe. Wanhua Chemical will utilize its production bases and global supply chain to support ElevenEs battery production in Serbia.
The partnership between Wanhua Chemical and ElevenEs plans to deepen cooperation in areas such as electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESS). Both parties will jointly form a technical team, exchange technical and market information, and accelerate the development of their products and markets.
Wanhua Chemical brings a complete technical platform for cathode and anode materials, binders, and solvents to the partnership. The collaboration covers products such as LFP cathode materials, PVDF binders, NMP solvents, and more.
Mr. Nemanja Mikać, Founder of ElevenEs, expressed that Wanhua Chemical's expertise in battery materials and global production capacity will significantly support ElevenEs in achieving localized supply chain goals. Both parties aim to continuously expand cooperation in battery materials, cell products, product and technology development, market expansion, and other fields.
In a separate development, BASF and BMW have entered a strategic agreement to supply battery cathode materials in Europe, planning further cooperation in electromobility and energy storage systems. This move further underscores the growing importance of strategic partnerships in the new energy industry.
As both Wanhua Chemical and ElevenEs move forward, they plan to jointly create a win-win situation to reinforce their leading positions in the global new energy industry. The collaboration intends to contribute to the sustainable development of Europe's new energy industry.
