On July 29, 2025, at 5:20 PM, a German citizen reported an unusual ATM on the main street of Binz. The incident is classified as a "Cash Trapping," where criminals manipulate ATMs to steal dispensed money.

The Criminal Police have initiated an investigation due to suspicion of attempted fraud and theft. The public is advised to be aware if the cash dispenser appears unusual or if parts seem loose. If a withdrawal is displayed but no cash is dispensed, the public is urged to remain calm and inform the bank or the police immediately.
