Fire at Linz am Rhein Recycling Center Contained on November 24, 2026

A fire broke out at the recycling center in Linz am Rhein on November 24, 2026. The incident involved a pile of bulky waste in the designated storage area.

The fire started at 00:14 hours and was quickly contained, preventing it from spreading to other objects within the center. Upon arrival, police officers found that the fire department had already initiated extinguishing measures.

Fortunately, no damage to the building surrounding the storage area has been reported as of now. In addition to police forces from Linz am Rhein, 50 firefighters from the units Linz, Vettelschoß, and Sankt Katharinen were on the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The status of the recyclable materials involved in the fire is unknown.
