Water main deliberately damaged
In the heart of Stuttgart's Central District, an unknown perpetrator caused significant damage to a water hydrant on August 29, 2025, around 20:00 hours.
According to the Police Headquarters Stuttgart, the suspect is described as a man aged between 18-25, approximately 180-185 cm tall, and wearing a beige jacket. The damage was reportedly caused by the suspect performing "bunny hops" and repeatedly stomping on the hydrant.
The damage amounts to around 5,000 euros, and the hydrant detached, sending a several-meter-high fountain of water into the air. It took the water network operator approximately an hour to shut off the water.
