Weather Warning Issued for Eastern and Southern UAE: Rain and robust winds may cause reduced visibility in the given regions.
UAE Weather Alert: Stay Safe on Wet Roads During Potential Rainfall
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in the United Arab Emirates has issued a weather alert for parts of the country, particularly Dubai and its surrounding areas. The alert warns of convective rainy cloud formation and strong winds reaching up to 50 km/h in eastern and southern areas, extending into some interior regions.
According to the NCM, these weather conditions are expected to continue until 11pm tonight. Looking ahead to tomorrow, the forecast predicts partly to mostly cloudy skies. Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious and comply with official safety instructions. With the potential for rainfall, it's important to drive with extra care on wet roads. The NCM has provided some tips for safe driving during rainfall:
- Slow down and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.
- Avoid sudden braking or acceleration.
- Be aware of the road conditions and adjust your speed accordingly.
- Use your low-beam headlights to increase visibility.
- If visibility is severely reduced, pull over to a safe location and wait for the rain to pass.
In addition to the potential for rainfall, winds in the UAE will be light to moderate, occasionally reaching 45 km/h. This could raise the risk of blowing dust and sand in exposed areas. The conditions may cause dust storms and a sharp drop in horizontal visibility to less than 2,000 meters.
The NCM has also predicted continued potential for convective cloud development over eastern and southern regions, possibly bringing rainfall. Hazardous weather events may impact road safety and outdoor activities, so it's essential to stay informed and follow the advice of local authorities.
Despite no new information about Saudi Arabia, pilgrims, or stopping at Black Stone in Mecca's Grand Mosque, no new information about Manuel Almario or UAE weather sign-up, and no new information about wrinkle creams or simple remedies for wrinkles around the mouth, it's clear that the focus in the UAE is on staying safe during the upcoming challenging weather conditions.
