In the recent 6-hour race of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Austin, Texas, a thrilling competition unfolded in the LMGT3 category. Here's a rundown of the race results:

Giammarco Levorato in the #88 Proton Competition Ford Mustang GT3 secured pole position with a lap time of 2:07.645. However, the race was a different story as various teams battled it out for the top spots.

The #95 United MCLAREN, driven by Sato, Gelael, and Leung, emerged victorious, securing the first place finish. They were closely followed by the #46 WRT BMW, driven by K. van der Linde, Rossi, and Al Harthy, who finished second, with a 0.256-minute gap. The #54 AF Corse FERRARI, driven by Flohr, Castellacci, and Rigon, claimed third place, finishing with a 2.705-minute gap from the leaders.

The #94 Peugeot, driven by Duval, Jakobsen, and Vandoorne, put up a strong fight and finished third, just behind the Ferrari. The #51 Ferrari, driven by Pier Guidi, Giovinazzi, and Calado, finished fifth, while the #50 Ferrari, driven by Fuoco, Molina, and Nielsen, clinched the second place overall in the race.

Several teams faced challenges during the race. The #61 Iron Lynx MERCEDES, driven by Martin, Berry, and Hodenius, retired from the LMGT3 category. Similarly, the #85 Manthey-PORSCHE, driven by Martin, Frey, and Gatting, the #38 Cadillac, driven by Button, Bourdais, and Bamber, and the #33 TF Sport CORVETTE, driven by Juncadella, Edgar, and Keating, all failed to finish the race.

In the midfield battle, the #83 AF-Corse-Ferrari, driven by Kubica, Ye, and Hanson, finished seventh, the #8 Toyota, driven by Hartley, Hirakawa, and Buemi, finished ninth, and the #81 TF Sport CORVETTE, driven by Van Rompuy, Andrade, and Eastwood, finished thirteenth, one lap behind the leaders.

The #007 Aston Martin, driven by Tincknell and Gamble, and the #78 Akkodis-ASP LEXUS, driven by Gehrsitz, Barnicoat, and Robin, both retired from the race, while the #77 Proton FORD, driven by Barker, Sousa, and Tuck, finished sixth, with a 21.293-minute gap from the leaders.

The #92 Manthey PORSCHE, driven by Lietz, Hardwick, and Pera, finished seventh, with a 21.758-minute gap, and the #99 Proton-Porsche, driven by Jani, Pino, and Varrone, finished thirteenth, two laps behind the leaders.

In the lower half of the standings, the #27 Heart of Racing ASTON MARTIN, driven by James, Robichon, and Drudi, finished fifth, with a 14.831-minute gap, the #12 Cadillac, driven by Stevens, Lynn, and Nato, finished eighth, and the #15 BMW, driven by D. Vanthoor, Marciello, and Magnussen, finished twelfth, one lap behind the leaders.

The #21 AF Corse FERRARI, driven by Heriau, Mann, and Rovera, finished twelfth, with a 1:15.031-minute gap, and the #009 Aston Martin, driven by Riberas and Sorensen, retired from the race. The #5 Porsche, driven by Christensen, Andlauer, and Jaminet, finished tenth, with a 55.567-minute gap from the leaders.
