Weekend drinking guide for Hong Kong, covering September 5-7
In the heart of Hong Kong's bustling Central district, several exciting changes are taking place in the city's culinary scene.
Artifact, a popular cocktail bar located at Shop 5 and 7, LG/F, Jardine House, 1 Connaught Place, is expanding its menu in partnership with Maker's Mark whiskey. As part of this collaboration, Artifact is offering four new drinks that showcase a wide array of notes from Maker's Mark. The Shogun highball cocktail and the Summer Games cocktail are among these new additions.
The Summer Games cocktail, a savoury and light antidote to the hot weather in the city, consists of pepper jack, caramelised onion, watermelon, and arugula. On the other hand, the Illmatic cocktail is a tribute to the lyrics of New York rapper Nas, containing cold-smoked hay, cola reduction, cassia bark, and aromatic bitters. Both the Illmatic and Summer Games cocktails are now available at Artifact, Jardine House.
Meanwhile, Duddell's restaurant is reopening with a new look, offering a drinks menu based on feng shui. The exact details of this unique concept are yet to be disclosed, but it promises to be an intriguing addition to Duddell's already impressive offerings.
In other news, Shelley Tai is returning to Hong Kong and opening Mius, a restaurant. Mius offers classic twists and a curated menu of champagne, but further information about the restaurant's location and opening date are not yet available.
To cap off an eventful weekend, September 5, 2025, features new menus and openings. Artifact, Jardine House is open from 5pm to 1am, and the Jardine House speakeasy, part of Artifact, is also offering new drinks as part of the expanded menu with Maker's Mark.
