Weekend in Aachen sees multiple criminal complaints filed by the Federal Police NRW

In the quiet town of Aachen, an unusual incident occurred on Friday afternoon. A 55-year-old Turkish man was found driving an e-scooter on the A4 motorway without number plates in Herzogenrath, a district of Aachen. The man, who claimed to be a truck driver returning from shopping, was taken into custody after a stern warning and further investigations.

Meanwhile, around 2 am on Sunday night, a 20-year-old German was stopped and checked in a high-end car in the same area. The young man was discovered to be driving without a license and with stolen number plates, which were found in the trunk of his car. The number plates were later traced back to the 20-year-old's vehicle.

The Federal Police in Aachen have recorded various police measures and criminal charges since Friday. Officers filed a criminal charge on the spot against the 55-year-old man, while the investigation into the 20-year-old's actions continues. The incident is now part of further police investigations.

Despite efforts to identify the current director of the Federal Police Directorate (Bundespolizeidirektion) in Sankt Augustin, their name was not available at the time of this report.

As the investigations progress, the Aachen community remains vigilant, emphasising the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations. The police remind drivers to always ensure their vehicles are properly registered and that they possess a valid driver's license. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
