Neuss Police Seek Male Suspect in Sunday Morning Gas Station Robbery

In an unfortunate incident, a gas station on Gladbacher Street in Neuss was the target of a robbery on April 18, 2021, at around 9:15 AM. The police are currently searching for a male suspect who fled the scene on foot.

The suspect, described as being approximately 20 years old, about 170 cm tall, with a slim build, was wearing dark jeans, a black hoodie, a surgical mask, and had his hood pulled down over his face. He did not physically harm anyone during the robbery.

According to the report, the suspect entered the sales area brandishing a kitchen knife. However, the employee remained calm and refused to hand over cash, instead calling for his supervisor. The suspect, not finding any loot, fled towards Viersener Street without any money.

The police are investigating if this incident is connected to a robbery at the same gas station one week prior. The path near the church on Gladbacher Street was used by the suspect as a getaway.
