West Bochum witnesses a severe road accident in WAT-Westenfeld, resulting in five injuries for the involved parties.

Yesterday afternoon, a serious road accident took place on Westenfelder Straße in Bochum. The collision involved a passenger car and an unoccupied tour bus, resulting in injuries for five individuals from the passenger car.

According to reports, the accident occurred at around 12:38 PM when the automatic eCall of a passenger car was received by the fire department's control center in Bochum. The collision took place between a vehicle and an unoccupied bus, with the driver of the tour bus remaining uninjured and able to stay at the scene.

Four children and one adult were among those injured in the collision. The injured individuals were treated on the scene before being transported to a hospital in Gelsenkirchen. Some of the injuries sustained were serious.

The police have launched extensive investigations into the cause of the accident, with the aim of understanding what led to this unfortunate incident. The responsible fire station from Wattenscheid arrived at the nearby scene with emergency services from the rescue service within a few minutes. The operation was completed after about an hour for the 26 emergency personnel.

The fire department's involvement was limited to securing the vehicles and assisting the rescue service. The collision resulted in an SUV and a tour bus being severely damaged.

The driver of the tour bus, a 69-year-old Bochum man, was driving the unoccupied coach bus when it collided head-on with a car driven by a 27-year-old Bochum woman traveling with four children.
