In an unexpected turn of events, a car collision occurred on the L1002 road from Fretterode towards Gerbershausen on Tuesday evening at approximately 6:40 PM. According to the Northhausen State Police Inspectorate, the incident involved a driver and a loose dog.

The responding officers found the injured dog on an adjacent field shortly after the accident. The dog was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the car involved in the accident was unharmed.

The owner of the dog later contacted the police station, and the Northhausen State Police Inspectorate has not released any publicly known name of the dog at this time. The car sustained property damage due to the collision.
