Winners of the "Best Courtyard" competition have been chosen in Astana
In the heart of Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, the annual Best Courtyard Contest has become a celebrated event, aiming to recognise and reward the city's most well-maintained courtyards.
This year, four courtyards stood out from the rest, each winning the admiration of the jury led by Nurlan Zhumatov. The courtyard located at Baikonur - Ramazan Street, 33, "Yubileyny 2009" PK was one of the winners, as was the courtyard at Yesil - Doystyk Street, 5/2, "Severnoye Siyanie" OSI. The other two winners were found at Saryarka - Bogynbay Batyr Avenue, 34, "Briz" KSP (K) and Sarayshik - Kaldayakov Street, 23A, "Kaldayakov 23A" OSI.
The contest, organised by the Department of Housing and Housing Inspection of Astana, in collaboration with district akimats and entrepreneurs, was designed to encourage the improvement of the urban environment and the promotion of an ecological culture. It was also a platform to support active citizens and improve the quality of life in Astana.
The winners were chosen after a thorough inspection and observation of the courtyards. Each winner was awarded for their efforts in maintaining the best courtyards in the city. The awards included mobile phones from entrepreneurs, certificates for household materials, letters of appreciation, and even recognition from the city's officials.
The Best Courtyard Contest in Astana is set to be held annually, with the aim of continuing to encourage residents to participate in courtyard improvement and maintenance. This initiative not only beautifies the city but also fosters a sense of community and pride among Astana's residents.
