Fire in Heringsdorf: Police Appeal for Witnesses
A fire broke out in an abandoned kiosk on Friedensstraße, Heringsdorf, on August 16, 2025. The incident was reported to the Integrated Rescue Control Center Vorpommern Greifswald at around 00:30 hours.
The fire was extinguished by the volunteer fire departments of Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck, and Benz, with a total of 38 personnel. However, parts of the facade and the roof of the kiosk were damaged, causing approximately 10,000 euros in property damage.
