Women sustain injuries in a traffic collision

A rear-end collision occurred in Niederkassel on Thursday evening, 4th September, as reported by the Rhein-Sieg District Police Headquarters and transmitted via news aktuell.
The incident involved two female drivers. One of the drivers was a 33-year-old woman driving a car on the Liburer Weg towards Libur. She intended to turn left into a property, signaled, and slowed down. However, due to oncoming traffic, she had to stop.
The other driver, a 34-year-old woman from Niederkassel, was following behind and hit the stationary Mercedes with her Toyota Auris. As a result, both cars were severely damaged and had to be towed away, causing an estimated total damage of around 35,000 euros.
Both women were slightly injured and taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. The name of the Toyota driver involved in the accident is not disclosed in the reports, but she is described as a 34-year-old woman from Niederkassel under investigation for negligent bodily injury in connection with the traffic accident.
The Toyota driver will have to face charges of negligent bodily harm in a traffic accident.
