Workers' Safety Commission Tasked with Developing Proposal for Worker Radiation Protection Directive

In Giessen, the Regional Traffic Service of the Central Hesse Police Headquarters conducted speed checks on Licher Street, near Heinrich-Fourier Street, on Friday. A total of 15 motorcycles, 22 cars, 4 trucks, and an e-scooter were checked.

Fortunately, no new traffic offenses or incidents were reported for motorcycles, and all vehicles were in satisfactory condition. However, 14 out of 22 cars were found to be driving too fast. One driver was 22 km/h over the speed limit, resulting in a fine of 115 euros and one point on their license, according to the Flensburg system.

Apart from these minor traffic offenses, which were immediately punished on the spot, no other serious traffic offenses were detected.

Meanwhile, an e-scooter was seized preventively after its rider, a girl, and her peers continued to ride the scooter in pairs or threes and committed traffic offenses, such as riding on the sidewalk, despite repeated admonishments.

Elsewhere, a father received a fine of 260 euros, two points, and a one-month driving ban after being caught driving at 82 km/h. The identity of the woman who was fined for speeding on Licher Straße remains undisclosed in the provided information.
