Workforce safeguarding initiative unveiled, aiming to shield employees from potential hazards posed by ionizing radiation.
The city portal of Essen, located at Rathaus, Porscheplatz 45121, has joined the "NRWeltoffen" initiative to support municipalities in their preventive work against right-wing extremism, racism, and antisemitism.
Galina Borchers, Integration Commissioner of the city portal, has emphasized the need for everyone to contribute in this fight against discrimination, hate, and incitement. Borchers stated that they have received many project applications this year and are delighted about everyone who engages in this cause.
The city portal has been actively involved in the fight against right-wing extremism, racism, and antisemitism since October 2022. The city council adopted the concept of action on November 29, 2023.
The NRWeltoffen-Initiativenfonds, part of the state program "NRWeltoffen", is supporting small projects focused on right-wing extremism, racism, and/or antisemitism for the third consecutive year. The city where the initiative funds within the NRWeltoffen program are active is Herford.
Interested parties can apply for funding through the Initiativenfonds, with an annual funding limit of up to 2,000 euros per carrier. The application form and further information can be found at the city portal's website, www.our website. The application deadline for this year's funding is September 30th, 2025.
Borchers also highlighted the ongoing shift to the right, indicating that there is still much work to be done in strengthening democracy and tolerance and standing against discrimination, hate, and incitement.
