Wrestling competition unfolding today: Three Yakutians participating in the Russian Championship without cost

The Russian Junior Championship for women under 24 is taking place in Moscow on September 6-7, and the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic team is among the participants. The competition is being held at the Izmailovo Sports Complex.

The Sakha Republic team, led by Kim Kolodеznikov, consists of four female boxers: Alexandra Kopylova, Yekaterina Ogorodnikova, Nadezhda Galchina, and Lilyana Rozhnina.

The competition starts at 17:00 local time on the first day. Alexandra Kopylova will compete in the 50 kg weight category, Yekaterina Ogorodnikova in the 57 kg weight category, Nadezhda Galchina in the 65 kg weight category, and Lilyana Rozhnina in the 72 kg weight category.

The competition is not only for medals but also for spots at the U23 World Championship in Slovakia. The winners of the Russian Junior Championship will have the opportunity to represent Russia in the international event.

The finals are scheduled for 20:30 on the second day of the competition. The winners will receive 30,000 ₽ for first place, 15,000 ₽ for second place, and 10,000 ₽ for third place. Coaches of the winning athletes will also receive a reward of 20,000 ₽.

Around a hundred athletes in ten weight categories are participating in the Russian Junior Championship. The search results do not provide information about the four female boxers from the Sakha Republic team competing at the event.
