Wunderling-Weilbier takes over as chair of the NBank board from Doods.

The Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank) has announced a change in leadership. Matthias Wunderling-Weilbier, currently a State Secretary, has been appointed as the new Supervisory Board Chair of NBank, effective from Tuesday.

Frank Doods, who previously held this position, has stepped down and will now serve as an ordinary member of the NBank Supervisory Board. In a surprising turn of events, Mr. Doods has also been appointed as head of the State Chancellery, leaving his role as head of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics.

Matthias Wunderling-Weilbier, who was a State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economic Affairs before his new appointment, will continue to hold his Supervisory Board position within the Lower Saxony Ministry for Economy, Transport, and Buildings.

The Lower Saxony Ministry for Economy, Transport, and Buildings is the main client of NBank, making this change in leadership significant for the bank's future direction.

NBank, a state-owned bank in Lower Saxony, Germany, plays a crucial role in the region's economy, providing investments and development loans to various sectors.
