Subscription spending also saw a significant boost, rising 21% compared to the same period last year.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was the undisputed star of the month, emerging as the best-selling console. EA Sports MVP Bundle took the second spot as the second best-selling game of the month, while Donkey Kong Bananza placed third.
The top spot, however, was claimed by EA Sports College Football 26. Other notable games that made it to the list of best-selling games of July 2025 include Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Minecraft, Forza Horizon 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, MLB The Show 25, Death Stranding 2, WWE 2K25, Elden Ring, NBA 2K25, Split Fiction, EA Sports FC 25, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, F1 25, and Grounded 2, which made its debut at #8.
Interestingly, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows was missing from the charts due to the company's policy of not sharing digital data.
