Yoddhas Triumph Over Titans in PKL 2025: Sumit and Gagan Star as Yoddhas Secure a 40-35 Victory

The UP Yoddhas made a strong start to their Pro Kabaddi League 2025 campaign, defeating the Telugu Titans 40-35 in an exciting match three.

The Yoddhas dominated the first half, with standout performances from captain Sumit Sangwan and Guman Singh. Sumit contributed seven points to the Yoddhas' score, while Guman added eight points, leading the team in scoring with 14 points, including four extra ones.

Sumit's defensive prowess was on display as he produced a Super Tackle on Vijay Malik, restoring the 11-point margin. He also inflicted another all-out on the Titans early in the second half, increasing the Yoddhas' lead to 11. The Yoddhas' defence was solid throughout the match, with Sumit and his deputy Ashu Singh combining for nine points thanks to their tackles.

Gagan Gowda, the Yoddhas' leading raider, achieved a Super 10 due to his consistency. He sealed the contest with a Super Raid in the dying moments, ensuring the Yoddhas' victory.

Malik, the Titans' star raider, completed his Super 10 with a multi-point raid and briefly revived the Titans, but it was not enough to overcome the Yoddhas' strong performance. Malik finished the match with 14 points, leading the Titans in scoring, with ten raid points, one tackle point, and three bonus points.

The Titans capitalized on the Yoddha's first all-out of the night, reducing the lead to five points. However, the Yoddhas held their nerve in a tense finish to secure the win.

This victory marks a promising start for the UP Yoddhas in Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League. They will look to build on this momentum as they continue their campaign.
