Yoga Instructor Unveils Enhanced Techniques for Seven Optimal Stretches

Yoga instructor Emily Mouu has recently shared an upgraded routine for seven classic yoga movements, designed to provide relief for stiff muscles, keep muscles flexible and healthy, and increase mobility and flexibility. The routine, which is ideal for those who want to increase their mobility and become more flexible but don't have much time, consists of dynamic stretches – moves you move in and out of.

The stretches in Mouu's routine include the downward dog, child's pose, forward fold, and cat/cow. These are all familiar poses in yoga, but Mouu adds her unique touch to each one. For example, her additions to the downward dog stretch introduce a spinal rotation and a stretch in the obliques (the muscles down the side of the stomach), making it a multi-muscle stretch that targets multiple parts of the body.

Dynamic stretching, as used in Mouu's routine, improves mobility in the joints and extends the range of motion. It also strengthens the joints and muscles, making it a great choice for those looking to improve their flexibility and prevent aches and pains in the long term.

To get the most out of the routine, Mouu advises moving through the stretches a few times on each side of the body until muscles start to relax. She demonstrates each of the stretches in her Instagram Reel, making it easy for beginners to follow along and learn the correct form.
