Young Actress Bolaji Aleem Discloses HorrificExperience of Sexual Abuse at Age Nine; Details Unwanted Touching by Men
In an emotional interview with FeelRightNews TV, Yoruba film actress Bolaji Aleem bravely shared her harrowing experiences of childhood sexual abuse.
Growing up in her neighbourhood, Aleem was just a young girl, around nine or ten years old, when older men, aged 35 and above, began approaching her while she was working on the streets. Two specific men stand out in her memory for their involvement in the abuse.
Aleem, who was very pretty as a child, was often asked by these men to enter their houses. However, the requests were not innocent. The men would physically abuse her, touching her body and private parts.
Despite the repeated incidents, Aleem did not tell anyone about the abuse at the time, as she thought the situation was normal. This silence was due in part to her fear that her grandmother, with whom she lived, would not understand.
Sadly, Aleem's experiences of sexual abuse were not limited to these encounters. As a child, she was also sexually abused by older men. Despite this, she was able to stop the men from approaching her as she grew older.
Aleem's story is a reminder of the prevalence of sexual abuse and the importance of speaking out. It is only by sharing our experiences that we can begin to address this issue and create a safer world for future generations.
Bolaji Aleem's bravery in sharing her story serves as an inspiration for others to speak out and seek help. As a Yoruba film actress, she has already made a name for herself in the industry, but her courage in sharing her experiences will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the lives of many.
