On the evening of September 4, a hit-and-run accident took place at the Schlagbaum intersection in Wuppertal. The collision involved a 46-year-old resident of Solingen driving an Audi RS 6 Avant and an 18-year-old woman from Velbert driving a Mercedes E-Class.

According to the police, the 46-year-old man was driving his Audi when he was involved in a collision with the Mercedes. The impact was severe, causing extensive damage to both vehicles, with the Audi being towed away as it was no longer roadworthy. The total damage from the accident is estimated to be approximately 50,000 euros.

In an unexpected turn of events, the 18-year-old woman, who was driving the Mercedes, left the scene of the accident without addressing the damage. However, she later contacted the police and provided information about the accident.

Upon finding the woman and her Mercedes on Goerdelerstraße, the police confiscated her driver's license. The traffic division is now investigating the circumstances of the accident. Witnesses are requested to contact the traffic division of the Wuppertal police at 0202 / 284 - 0.
