Young male, age 18, confronted with the menace of an ax on a parking lot
Yesterday evening, at 19:45, a disturbing incident unfolded in the parking lot of a business on Leipziger Allee, Anklam.
A 41-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, verbally abused a group of young adults, primarily targeting an 18-year-old. The suspect, carrying an ax, threatened the 18-year-old and his acquaintance, a 19-year-old, who was driving an Audi.
The 19-year-old, in an attempt to end the threatening behaviour, drove his car towards the suspect, hitting him and stopping the confrontation. However, this action resulted in property damage totalling 2,500 euros to both vehicles.
The 41-year-old man also punched the 18-year-old's car, a VW, and demanded that the occupants exit the vehicle. As a result, the 18-year-old was unable to drive away due to a technical malfunction.
The Police Inspectorate Anklam is handling the incident and the suspect is facing charges of threat and dangerous bodily harm. The police are seeking additional witnesses to the incident.
