Youngster Claimed to Have Received Driving Permit at the Age of Nine
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at around 8 PM, a 26-year-old man from Hagen was arrested for presenting a falsified Austrian driver's license copy while driving a Mercedes on Altenhagener Straße.
The information was originally transmitted by Polizei Hagen, and it was later published by news aktuell. The fake document, which contained several errors, was seized by the police.
According to the details, the license was issued at the age of 9, an inconsistency that raised suspicion. The document had multiple spelling errors, no watermarks, varying print quality, and improperly attached foil.
After presenting the fake license, the man claimed to have obtained his license in Austria in 2023 but refused to provide further details. Despite these claims, the man did not have a valid driver's license and is now facing charges of forgery and driving without a license.
Following the incident, the man was prohibited from driving vehicles requiring a license. The Hagen Police has urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to fake identification documents.
