The city of Aachen has opened a call for proposals to reformation of the Children and Youth Committee. Here's what you need to know:
- To submit a proposal, you must be 18 years old and a resident of Aachen.
- Proposals can be sent via email to Melanie Olbertz at [email protected].
- Proposals must be sent in writing to the Department of Kita and Child Day Care, Office of the Children and Youth Committee, City of Aachen, Mozartstraße 2-10, Attn: Mrs. Olbertz.
- Already submitted proposals will be considered in the proposal list for the election, as long as they meet the legal requirements and are complete.
- The legal requirements and completeness of the proposals will be evaluated before they are considered.
- The deadline for submitting proposals is after the municipal elections on September 14, 2025. Specifically, the deadline is Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
- Each proposal must include details of the proposing free carrier.
- Proposed voting members and deputies must provide their name, first name, date of birth, address, and occupation.
- Further proposals must be submitted by the deadline to be considered.
- The city council of Aachen elects the voting individuals proposed by the recognized carriers, who are individuals or organizations responsible for free youth welfare in Aachen.
- A total of twelve members and twelve deputies are sought for the Children and Youth Committee.
