Youths in POL-MFR detained for exploiting vending equipment
In the city of Fürth, police have apprehended two young men suspected of stealing goods from vending machines over a period of six days.
The first theft occurred on August 9, 2025, on Nuernberger Straße in the city centre. The stolen goods were E-cigarettes, worth approximately 30 euros. The second theft was discovered on August 13, 2025, through CCTV, but the exact location was not specified. The exact value of the goods stolen in this instance is not known.
On the evening of August 14, 2025, around 22:15, the young men struck again, this time stealing several cans of energy drinks. This theft was also caught on CCTV.
In all three incidents, the suspects blocked the dispensing compartment to gain access to the goods. On the third attempt, they were caught red-handed by the owner and subsequently arrested.
Investigations against the young men, aged 17 and 18, were initiated by officers, and they were processed at Fürth Police Station following their arrest.
