In an unexpected turn of events, YouTube sensation MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, has announced his entrance into the world of sports by acquiring the National Football League (NFL). However, the financial details of this transaction remain unclear.

The announcement was made in a YouTube video titled "I bought the NFL", which also featured NFL commissioner Roger Goodell at a press conference. The video, which has since garnered millions of views, also showcased several popular YouTubers, including iShowSpeed, Dude Perfect, and Hayley Bayley, being drafted into the NFL.

Despite the excitement, MrBeast clarified that he did not actually buy the NFL. Instead, it appears to be part of a promotional campaign for the NFL game on YouTube. The broadcasting rights for the upcoming game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers on September 5, 2022, have been acquired by YouTube for free streaming in the USA. In Germany, RTL holds the rights for NFL game broadcasts until the Super Bowl 2028, though the particular game on September 5 was not indicated as being on RTL's free-TV schedule.

MrBeast, who recently announced his entrance into the billionaire club in February, also revealed plans to expand the NFL roster from 53 to 54 players. The final spot in the expanded roster will be reserved for a YouTuber, but the identity of this individual remains a mystery.

In the video, MrBeast also stated, "I don't keep money for myself." This statement suggests that any changes he plans to implement in the NFL might not be driven by financial gain. However, the specifics of these changes remain undisclosed.

The video also featured advertisements for McAfee Antivirus and auto insurance savings, indicating that MrBeast's takeover of the NFL is not entirely altruistic. Nevertheless, the video has sparked excitement among fans and YouTubers alike, with many eagerly awaiting the start of the NFL season under MrBeast's leadership.
